I had posted this along with another problem on IPSBeyond way back and completely forgotten about it. Recently while trying to look up some answers to other questions I found my old post along with a response from RisingPhoenix.

So here's the question I still have, on my site http://www.tdotballers.com I use the "News" section to display posts from site sponsors. The problem I am encountering is that occasionally sponsors are "spamming" announcements to ensure they are the first in the list. What I would like is to do is the following:

Randomly display X amount of posts from the "Sponsor News & Events" section that have been made in the last X amount of days. So for example each time the page is displayed the block will grab 10 random posts from the "Sponsor News & Events" section that have been made in the past 14 days.
