I have recently taken over as my motorcycle clubs webmaster and have upgraded the IPB to latest release. I now want to add unreal portal; directions say to FTP folders to Forum root directory.
What is the root directory for IPB???

That's the folder on your web host where you uploaded your IPB software to.
For example,
If your forum is hosted on forums.mydomain.com,
your root directory for IPB is going to be your forums folder on your host.
