I installed the unreal portal file and followed instructions. When i log onto the forum nothing comes up unless its got the index.php?act=idx on the end. I cant log onto admin controls either, just view and reply to posts.

Im sure its something simple but im new to all this and have racked my brains trying to think and get it to work.

anyone help?

will did u try just typeing the link to the admin menu...
when u do go into it u need to go to the new tab called portal and setup what shows up on the unreal portal

well I got admin to work now (I uninstalled everything and re-installed it all) but when you go onto the site its just a blank screen. Do I need to change a link somewhere?
The instructions for this arent very good tbh.

p.s I been to the admin and set up what I want on there etc.

p.p.s I decided to uninstall the portal and remove the added and modified code that it tells you to put in and now I still cant access the forums. I got no idea where Ive gone wrong, worst of all its not my site, its my boyfriends, he asked me to help him out (being as Im a computing student and wanted to be a programmer)
admin works but the forums come up with a blank screen. Please someone help

i dont know what i can say... not very much details what the problem could be
but must mist somthing maby

If your the owner of the server you need to go into your site using the FTP and change your Index.html so that it directs itself to your uportal. In that file you wil have a bunch of other tags and then your site which should look like this

http://www.Yourdomain.com/forums/index.php?act=idx

- or something of that nature..

To get your site to direct it self to your uportal just change the end

http://www.Yourdomain.com/forums/index.php?act=uportal

Doing this should make your site go to your uportal ie Unreal portal.
