Sorry for the lack of updates for the past couple of weeks; been busy with life and general procrastination. Was waiting for IPB to release 3.0.1 before I worked more, but they don't seem to be doing that anytime soon so I decided to quit being lazy.
Spent quite a bit of time on it today and it's coming along nicely. The skinning looks much better than a couple of weeks ago and on the frond-end I got the calendar and the poll block done. Both turned out to be much easier than I had expected, especially the poll. IPB did a good job on re-writing the poll so that other components can use it, but the calendar code is still a POS given how much code it takes to show the mini-calendar block.
Anyways, all that's left on the front-end is writing the statistics block and then comes porting the back-end over. I've barely even started on that, but it shouldn't be too bad.

I hope this portal works as good as 2.3.
Cricket, I must comment on how well unreal portal works compared to everything else. I had complete control on everything I wanted.
Thanks for taking the time on making Invision's portal much better. They should use your portal as theirs.

hello cricket, just get an error on uportal from poll.
also maybe a suggestion if its possible. MK portal have this.
its showing automatic the latest images from a latest topic. (no text) just when they click on the image it brings them to that topic.
the images are placed in separated blocks: 1 images 1 block.
maybe also possible for externe url images.
so now i have to this manualy. it should be great if this build in.
if its possible.

Just saw that you updated it to 3.0.1 on the test site. I am getting more and more excited for this release! Keep up the awesome work!
Question I have in regards to this:
When we update to 3.0 will we have to remove all sql relating to uportal and then install the new one, or will all of our content be able to be upgraded and just drag and drop?

Most likely (90%) that when you install the portal on IPB 3.0 it'll just update and keep all the previous stuff.
